Hear ye, hear ye! It is with immense joy that I unveil the 2026–2027 season for Théâtre Cercle Molière. I put it together myself, like a grown-up. It is joyful, colourful, poetic, and grounded. There’s plenty to make you laugh, cry, think, and be surprised...

Come join us. We’re going to have fun this year — I guarantee it.

A contemporary take on Scapin highlights a rebellion that still resonates today. Léandre dreams of love and a life in theatre, but his father, Géronte, expects him to take over the family business. L'hiver de nos vies

November 18 to 28, 2026

The pandemic brought uncertainty, isolation, and loss, while also creating space for collective memory. In 2019, the author began collecting testimonies from six seniors in Manitoba to preserve these intimate stories. From these encounters—including one with her mother—emerged L’hiver de nos vies, a theatrical experience that is both personal and universal.

Co-produced by France Adams and Théâtre Cercle Molière
Written by France Adams

Petite Ondine

January 16, 2027

Youth play (not included in the subscription, no subtitles)

Petite Ondine, daughter of the Ocean King, dreams of the human world despite the ban. She seeks out the Sea Witch, who demands a sacrifice. This feminist reimagining of Andersen’s tale follows a heroine in search of independence, exploring identity and freedom through a coming-of-age story combining object theatre and music.

Produced by Kleine Compagnie and Théâtre de la Seizième (Vancouver)
Written by Anaïs Pellin, based on Andersen’s fairy tale

An African family has just arrived in Canada. As newcomers, they must not only learn how to integrate into Canadian society but also protect their culture from being absorbed by the dominant one. In doing so, they face difficulties and obstacles in maintaining their traditions and cultural practices.

H¡T!

April 2 and 3, 2027

Youth play (not included in the subscription, no subtitles)

Cody, aka CodyBeatz, is 16 and refuses to follow the path her father has planned for her in medicine. Instead, she dreams of making music. While scrolling through social media, she meets Félix, aka Filou, an aspiring rapper her age who creates a new online identity to escape cyberbullying. Together, Cody produces the music while Félix writes the lyrics, and their duo quickly takes off. But while Cody longs for honesty and genuine connections, Félix becomes consumed by fame, changing completely in the process — and driving them apart.

Produced by Théâtre I.N.K. (Montreal)
Written by Julien Beauseigle

Hippocampe

May 26 to 29, 2027

This play is included in the subsciption package / Subtitles available in French or English

Summer 2020. An artist father whose projects have all been cancelled sets off on a road trip with his six-year-old daughter, travelling from southeastern New Brunswick to the Laurentians. Along the way, he realizes that being a parent means staying in conversation with the child you once were — and revisiting your own grief. Performed by Marc-André Charron, who effortlessly embodies multiple characters, the story unfolds alongside the haunting live music of Acadian musicians Maggie Savoie and Sylvie Boulianne, whose original compositions accompany this intimate journey.
